What inspires me as a photographer?

 Seeing what others do not and able to capture it in such a way that has the viewer taken in by the image. One buyer of an image stated they had seen the object in the image before but never as I had captured it - lighting and composition are very important to me as a photographer. Another thing that keeps me inspired is planning and exploration - two years ago I was preparing for a trip to Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada ~ my first trip outside the United States and now planning my first trip to Colorado in late summer. To view areas unknown to myself as a photographer gives incentive for me to pursue with my camera!

Images in this gallery are from Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park and the National Badlands – in Sept of 2018 Rainbow International Restoration of Sioux Falls, SD purchased an image of Mt Rushmore they took to their Dallas, TX convention and sold at charity auction.

Was able to participate in a wedding webinar yesterday and gain valuable information. Have been reworking my wedding contract and have a new wedding photography questionnaire for the bride and groom that will benefit them and me in all areas of their wedding day. What is most important for your wedding day photography? An area I strive for as a professional photographer is to give my clients guidance to take the pressure off the couple for their special day.

By providing a detailed photography checklist and wedding timeline will allow for time management and stress-free planning and assure all the images they wished to have detailed will be captured allowing for a more relaxing time on the wedding day.

When meeting my wedding clients for their initial consultation I provide them with a custom wedding packet which includes the photography checklist – see an example of the new update version below.
